Un’idea di libertà. Per Sara e Sandro
Che il gesto di Sara e Sandro sia stato l’affermazione decisa del “qui e ora” possiamo solo immaginarlo. Da anarchici e da compagni sentiamo forte la necessità di stare al loro fianco e difenderli da chiunque si permetta di calunniarli. E non abbiamo dubbi che la violenza rivoluzionaria sia parte dell’anarchismo e di un’idea antiautoritaria che vorrebbe sradicare qualsiasi tipo di oppressione e gerarchia. Un’idea che si esprime con svariatissimi metodi e che, quando decide di usare la violenza, non colpisce mai nel mucchio, ma mira il suo attacco contro l’oppressione e chi o cosa ne costituisce un ingranaggio.
Inutile che gli scribacchini del potere, gli inquirenti o chiunque necessiti di dar fiato ai denti, si dilunghino in ipotesi tese solo a denigrare e speculare sui compagni che hanno perso la vita. Ciò che vogliamo ribadire è la difesa di un’idea di libertà, parte necessaria di chi va fino in fondo nella teoria e nella pratica dei suoi ideali, che sente forte quella tensione quotidiana che lo spinge ad agire, che lo tormenta costantemente quando attorno regna ingiustizia e sopraffazione. Non esistono eroi ed eroine, esistono compagni rivoluzionari che scelgono esattamente da che parte stare e ne accettano il rischio, intrattenendosi con l’avvenire. È per questo che nel gesto di Sara e Sandro vediamo la generosità e la tenerezza di chi ama profondamente.
Chi stermina popolazioni intere o mette bombe sui treni e nelle piazze, chi annega migliaia di persone in mare o rinchiude e tortura gli individui nelle carceri, cos’ha da insegnare se non ferocia e viltà? Siamo convinti che valga la pena demolire, se ciò serve ad eliminare abusi ed è per questo che lo Stato ritiene pericolosa una bomba che si affianca ad un’idea, perché essa può riuscire a far deflagrare le fondamenta dell’iniquità e della sopraffazione, a renderle visibili, a mostrare l’ipocrisia di un sistema di fatto fondato sulla violenza quotidiana e vuole semplicemente detenerne il monopolio e impedire che si alzi la testa. Carceri, lavoro, devastazione della natura, guerra: davvero si è così accecati dal non vedere la brutalità che sovrasta? Davvero può costituire uno scandalo un gesto di attacco, quando gli Stati non hanno nessuno scrupolo ad arruolare e armare dei giovani e mandarli ad ammazzare e morire?
Sara e Sandro erano e sono nei nostri cuori una compagna e un compagno in lotta, ed è questo che saranno. La loro urgenza resterà di fatto un dialogo con l’avvenire, quello di un’idea contro il potere.

An idea of freedom. For Sara and Sandro
That Sara and Sandro’s gesture was the decisive affirmation of the “here and now”, we can only imagine. As anarchists and comrades we feel a strong need to stand by them and defend them from anyone who allows themself to slander them. And we are in no doubt that revolutionary violence is part of anarchism and an antiauthoritarian idea that would uproot every kind of oppression and hierarchy. An idea that expresses itself with many varied methods and which, when it decides to use violence, never strikes in the heap but aims its attack against oppression and who and what constitutes one of its gears.
It is pointless for the hacks of power, the investigators or whoever else to spout off with hypotheses aimed only at denigrating and speculating on the comrades who have lost their lives. What we want to reaffirm is the defence of an idea of freedom, necessary part of who goes right into the theory and practice of their ideals, who strongly feels this daily tension that pushes them to act, that torments them constantly where injustice and oppression reign. There are no heroes and heroines, there are revolutionary comrades who choose exactly where they stand and accept the risk, playing a game with the future. That is why in Sara and Sandro’s gesture we see the generosity and tenderness of who loves deeply.
What do those who exterminate entire populations or place bombs in trains or city squares, drown thousands of people in the sea or lock up and torture individuals inside prisons, have to teach other than savagery and cowardice? We are convinced that demolishing is worth it if it serves to eliminate abuse and that is why the State is afraid of a bomb joined with an idea, because it could succeed in making the foundations of iniquity and oppression explode, render visible, show the hypocrisy of a system in act based on daily violence that it wants to gain monopoly of and prevent one from raising one’s head. Prisons, work, the devastation of nature, are we really so blind as to not see the brutality that dominates? Can a gesture of attack really constitute a scandal, when States have no scruples about enrolling and arming young people and sending them to kill and die?
Sara and Sandro were and are in our hearts, two comrades in struggle, and that is what they will remain. Their urgency will continue to be a dialogue with the future: that of an idea against power.
